  • Bank to books: use a bank feed, statement import or cashbook entry to record the customer receipt.
  • Count it once: if the receipt is already recorded, match it rather than enter it again.
  • Clear the invoice: allocate the receipt to the correct invoice. A part payment leaves a balance owing.

Bank imports, allocations and reconciliation

A bank feed or import should reduce repetitive work. We review transaction formats, duplicate entries, allocation rules and unreconciled items, with checks against the opening and closing bank balances.

Move from desktop records to cloud accounting

If you are considering a move from Pastel or spreadsheets, we assess your invoicing, stock, reporting and transaction requirements first. We then agree the information to transfer, the conversion date and a practical training plan. Existing desktop users can also use our dedicated Pastel support service.

Is Sage Accounting the same as Sage One?

Sage One is an earlier name still used by many clients for Sage’s cloud accounting system. Tell us the exact product and version so we can confirm the appropriate support.

Do you also help with Sage Pastel Partner?

Yes. Pastel Partner and legacy Pastel Xpress support are covered on our Sage Pastel support page. We assess whether improving the current desktop system or moving to cloud accounting fits the business.

Can you help clean up existing Sage Accounting records?

Yes. We can scope a review of opening balances, bank allocations, customer and supplier balances, duplicate transactions and processing routines. The work required depends on the records and outstanding periods.
