Computerized Accounting using Pastel Accounting (Version 14)
This Short Learning Programme provides employees with the opportunity to become familiar with the software involved in processing all the accounting and Bookkeeping tasks contained in the Bookkeeping and Accounting to Trial Balance Programmes.
In this programme the software package used is Pastel Accounting Version 14 which is in wide application in South Africa and is frequently specified as a job prerequisite.
COURSE CONTENT:
- The accounting and computer systems using Windows
- The General Ledger and Chart of Accounts
- Entering data onto Pastel Accounting Version 14
- Processing of daily accounting tasks i.e. Cash Receipts and Payments, Sales, Purchases, Petty Cash and Extraordinary Transactions
- Producing Activity reports – Trial Balances, Debtors and Creditors including ageing, Financial Statements and end of period routines
- File creation and maintenance

COURSE DURATION
3 consecutive Saturdays from 08h30 to 16h30.
COURSE VENUE
The Rhodes Computer Centre, Rhodes High School, Montreal Avenue, Little Mowbray.
The Center for Management Development is an Authorized Pastel Training Centre. Wendy Stone is a Certified Pastel Instructor.
COURSE FEES
Classes to be held on Saturdays from 08h30 to 16h30 for 3 consecutive Saturdays at Little Mowbray, Cape Town. Fees of R3 400.00 to be paid on enrolment or by arrangement.

| RATIONALE |
Bookkeeping and Accounting activities are becoming increasingly Computerized for the obvious reason that microcomputers and South African developed packages are available now at very competitive prices.
This has led to most bookkeeping and/or accounting positions requiring a level of proficiency in computerized accounting.
