Once you have mastered the basics of bookkeeping and also understanding how to read your Financial Statements, now is the time to make the processing of your accounting transactions easy and effortless.

RATIONALE

Bookkeeping and Accounting activities are becoming increasingly Computerised for the obvious reason that microcomputers and South African developed packages are available now at very competitive prices.

This has led to most bookkeeping and/or accounting positions requiring a level of proficiency in computerised accounting.

COURSE CONTENT
  • The Accounting and computer systems using Windows.
  • The General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
  • Entering data onto Pastel Accounting Version 9.
  • Processing of daily accounting tasks i.e. Cash Receipts and Payments,
  • Sales, Purchases, Petty Cash and Extraordinary Transactions.
  • Producing Activity reports – Trial Balances, Debtors and Creditors
  • including ageing, Financial Statements and end of period routines.
  • File creation and maintenance.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The software package used is Pastel Accounting Version 9 which is in wide application in South Africa and is frequently specified as a job prerequisite.
  • The course is based on the information and data of the Center for
  • Management Development’s manual Bookkeeping training course
  • which enables trainees to experience the processing of the 12 periods of the financial year. 
STARTING DATE To be announced based on demand for group classes
COURSE VENUE Rhodes Computer Centre, Montreal Avenue, Little Mowbray.
COURSE TIMES Saturdays from 08h30 to 16h30 for three consecutive Saturdays.
CERTIFICATION A certificate will be issued to trainees who complete the course successfully.
   

 

Our trainers, The Center for Management Development is an Authorised Pastel Training Centre and the trainer, is a Certified Pastel Instructor.

Next course:          Sat 10 April for 3 Saturdays from 8am untill 16.30pm  

Course Venue:       Rhodes High School, Montreal Avenue, Little Mowbray.

Course Times:        09h00 to 12h00 on Saturday mornings for 10 consecutive weeks.
