The Center for Management Development will once again present the popular BOOKKEEPING AND ACCOUNTING TO TRIAL BALANCE COURSES.

Qualified bookkeepers are always in demand and this course provides the ideal foundation for persons who wish to extend and consolidate their bookkeeping skills, start a career in Bookkeeping or even make a mid-career change.  

The Bookkeeping to Trial Balance Course has been designed for persons with limited training and experience in the practice of Bookkeeping. Using a step-by-step method, trainees are taught how to keep a complete set of books starting with the writing up of the prime books, proceeding to the Trial Balance level of competency.

COURSE CONTENT:

  •     Cash Books, Cash Flow Analysis and Banking Issues.
  •     Credit Sales, Credit Purchases and Petty Cash.
  •     General Ledger, General Journal and Trial Balances.
  •     Interim Financial Reports.
  •     Debtors and Creditors Ledgers.
  •     Vat Reconciliations and Returns.

COURSE DURATION
14 three hour sessions.

COURSE VENUES:

  •    Saturday mornings – Rhodes High School, Little Mowbray from 09h00 to 12h00.
  •    Monday & Thursday Mornings – 37 Main Road, Mowbray from 09h00 to 12h00.
  •    Tuesday evenings – The Church of Christ, corner of Lourensford Road and Irene Avenue, Somerset West from 18h00 to 21h00.


TRAINEE EVALUATION

Trainee evaluation will consist of written assessments and audits of the books of accounts kept while attending the programme.

CERTIFICATION

Trainees who complete the course successfully will receive a certificate stating that they have completed the prescribed assessments and tasks required.

Course Fees

Classes to be held on either on Saturday, Monday & Thursday mornings at Little Mowbray, Cape Town or Somerset West on Tues evenings for 14 consecutive weeks. Fees of R4 250.00 if paid on enrolment or R4 600.00 if paid by instalment.
